The collaboration with PIGU.LT started with the idea. We had an idea that required quite a large number of shipments. The number of deliveries that PIGU.LT had was sufficient for the successful development of the project. So with innovative offer and PIGU.LT desire to continuously improve customer satisfaction, we agreed to move forward together.
The PIGU group, which owns Pigu.lt online stores in Lithuania, 220.lv in Latvia and Kaup24.ee in Estonia, is the largest e-commerce company in the Baltic States. As of 2015, The PIGU Group is managed by MCI, one of the largest private equity firms in Central and Eastern Europe.
The parcel terminal solution itself is not unique, but we have applied the know-how to build a well-functioning device at an affordable price and implemented several enhancements (that are not offered by other manufacturers). We have solutions such as shipping item combined from several packages, easy-to-modify terminals, software adoption to each customer, etc. It is also important to mention that we did it very quickly – within three months of signing the contract, we delivered a fully working terminal.
What’s more, we can be fast not just in delivering the terminal itself, but also with delivering the parcels. While nationwide terminals can only deliver packages the next business day, we offer the ability to accelerate the parcel delivery even more. So the competitive advantage of the idea is not the terminal itself, but in the opportunities it creates.
We did not rely on the existing infrastructure to create a new solution, but took a creative look and came up with an unconventional solution – delivering shipments to terminals the same day. In this way, we set the difference in the traditional parcel terminals market, where parcels are only delivered the next business day. Looking at the global trends and the ever-increasing pace of life, it is obvious that the parcel delivery market also needs to move forward.
PIGU.LT, the rapidly expanding online shop, started with four terminals installed in grocery stores RIMI in several different areas of the capital Vilnius.
PIGU.LT plans to install these terminals in ten major cities of the country and the other Baltic States cities.
